Club Traffic and Launching Safety Guidelines

Club guidelines for safe use of the Parking Areas, Slipways and Wharves.
Members are reminded that:
- Care should be taken when using the club car park,
rigging areas, slipways and wharves.
- Only cars with trailers are to use the Club rigging
area. Normal access to the rigging area is by barrier arm card
only.
- Trailer Yacht trailers are to be parked to the east
of the central access way, which is to be kept clear.
- Dinghy trailers are to be parked to the west of the
central access way, which is to be kept clear.
- Access to the Rescue boat sheds and the grass rigging
area are to be kept clear of cars and road trailers.
- Road trailers are to be connected to cars by LTSA
standard couplings and safety chains at all times while being moved and
during launching.
- Winch wires should be checked for wear.
- A person additional to the car driver must supervise
trailer backing on the slipway.
- Car parking next to the clubhouse entrance is
reserved for service and disabled parking.
- Members are to be cautious when parking in the cliff
car park. There is a danger of falling rock and there have been
reported cases of car security breach.
- Use of the club wharves and pontoons is restricted to
short term, supervised mooring only. Priority wharf use is reserved for
slipway access on club event days.
- The jetty side of the main slipway is designated for
use by road trailers while the clubhouse side is designated for use by
beach trolleys.
These safety guidelines are designed for the safe and efficient use
of club facilities.
