Trailer and Sports Trailer Yachts

The Canterbury Trailer Yacht Squadron operates as a fleet within the Naval Point Club and has its own social events and trophies in addition to participating in main Club events.

The squadron manages storage space for over 100 trailer yachts. A waiting list operates and anyone seeking space should contact the squadron directly to organise a storage space. A CTYS allocated storage site cannot be transfered to other parties.

The Trailer Yacht fleet is very active and members sail as far afield from Lyttelton to Akaroa, while many others tow their boats to lakes and other holiday locations around the country. Most popular being Marlborough Sounds and Tasman Bay.
