Windsurf Learn to Sail

Naval Point Club Lyttelton is leading the way in encouraging the development of windsurfing as a fun and competitive sailing option for Club juniors.

 

Why not join the fun?

The Club, in conjunction with Canterbury Windsports (CWA), has 3 Learner Boards available for teaching children to learn to windsurf.

The ‘Learn to Windsurf’ Course is run on a Saturday morning during the sailing season. The first course starts in October and a second course starts early February. Bookings are essential as numbers are limited.

The course content for beginners includes topics such as; Safety, Weather, Rigging,  Sailing skills, Rope work, basic Rules, launching and recovery, First Sail. The course is based on the Yachting New Zealand Syllabus.

Saturday 9-12
