Rules Q&A Night

Now that end of the season is upon us we wanted to bring a panel of judges together for you to bounce questions off of about the rules of racing. It will be a great night sharing information and of course the kitchen and bar will be open!

When: Wednesday April 10th @ 630pm

Where: Naval Point Club Lyttelton Boardroom

Blub Blub

A contingent of 6 Naval Point sailors attended the 2024 Optimist Nationals in Picton over Easter. Conditions were cold, blustery and challenging. However, despite the elements, our sailors did well to continually improve throughout the regatta. A big shout-out to the parents and coaches who made the trip north to support the team!

Top result came from Samson Nuttall who placed 15th overall (and 2nd south island!) in the 42-strong Green Fleet. Well done Samson!

It’s fantastic to see Junior Sailing back on the rise at NPCL, and within Canterbury as a whole. With 14 Opti’s across our Green and Open Fleets as well as more coming through from learn to sail, we are starting to see amazing growth at the club. May it continue!

From YNZ: Voice of the Participant

Greetings

We are pleased to invite you to participate in the 2024 Voice of the Participant survey and have your say on the state of our sport in New Zealand.

Your feedback will help Yachting New Zealand and your club better meet members' needs by understanding what works well and identifying areas needing more focus. The more people who participate in the survey, the greater the benefits to clubs.

The survey is run in conjunction with Sport New Zealand, is entirely voluntary and should take no longer than 15 minutes to complete.

If you have received this email on behalf of a child under 14 who participates in sailing, you can complete the survey with them or on their behalf. We ask children 14 years and over to complete the survey themselves.

We would greatly appreciate your insights and time, and everyone who completes the survey will go into the draw to win a NZL Sailing Team clothing pack.
